Ascendent, LLC was founded in September of 2005 by Dr. Robert Frost, President and owner of Nuclear Safety Associates, Inc. (NSA) and Ken Hukari, President and owner of Hukari Technical Services, Inc. (Hukari). Ascendent, LLC was originally organized as a Joint Venture between Hukari and NSA to provide nuclear safety support services in the northwest, in response to a client’s specific desire to have comprehensive nuclear safety services available within a single contractual point of contact.

The business model was refined during the first year and has evolved into a diverse service company that includes a much broader range of engineering and technical services. Driven by leaders with bold vision and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, the success of this business model led to a decision to operate Ascendent, LLC as a continuing enterprise. Now an independent entity, Ascendent, LLC still benefits from common management, provision of some common general and administrative services, and reach-back capability for specialized technical resources from the member companies.

Throughout its brief corporate history, Ascendent, LLC has remained true to the core values upon which the company was founded -- honesty, integrity, reliability, quality, and respect for individuals.
